Level 1 - Fundamental Child Protection Training for Educators

This course teaches the fundamentals of Child Protection educators working with children need to know.

The Learning Outcomes are:

  • Learn why children in your care need protection
  • Understand your Duty of Care and your Child Protection responsibilities
  • Learn about types of Abuse that can endanger children
  • Recognize indicators and behaviors for both abused children and Child Abusers
  • Understand Child Protection Concerns and Disclosures
  • Learn how to report, record, monitor and review when you suspect a child has been abused

Course duration: 3 hours

Passing requirement: 80% correct on the final assessment

This course meets international Level 1 standards for Child Protection training for educators.
